Answer
How do I check if ChatGPT recommends my business?
Ask ChatGPT the way a customer would ('best electrician in Richmond VA', 'who should I call for a leaking water heater near me'), at least 5–10 times, then count how often you appear. Or get our free report, which does this systematically.
Tips for a fair manual test: use a logged-out or temporary chat, vary the wording, and note which websites ChatGPT cites, since those are the sources to fix. One study needed about 100 runs per question for ±10-point precision on a single question; spreading runs across many related questions gets there faster (Gumshoe).
